Arohi & Arvin at Pan Pacific

Arohi & Arvin’s Wedding

Pan Pacific Hotel Perth

21st October 2018

A Wedding is one of the most important Ceremonies in the Indian culture. Both the Bride’s and the Groom’s side of the families love to organise and celebrate their culture with a number of big, colourful and joyful events.

When wedstyle first met Arohi & Arvin we clicked right away, Arvin in particular has a very cheeky sense of humour which made it a lot of fun and laughter to work with them. We were very excited to be a part of their journey and to assist with the styling of both their Ceremony & Reception.

As is typical when organising and styling Indian Weddings we usually get to meet the whole family and generally both the Bride & Groom and their respective parents and sometimes other family members come to the initial meeting

Being Hindu, at our first meeting we learnt very quickly that the Hindu Ceremony was something very personal and spiritually important especially for Arohi’s Mother, so it was very important that we got the Mandap Ceremony set-up absolutely perfect.

As Arohi was based in Perth and Arvin in Sydney, we had some geographical barriers to overcome, so clear and open communication with everyone was very important.

For the Wedding Ceremony, a small pamphlet was prepared and handed out to guests as they entered detailing the significance of Arohi & Arvin’s union  and the importance of their religion and culture and to allow guests to follow exactly what was happening every step of the Ceremony.

Both the ceremony & reception were held in separate Ballrooms at the Pan Pacific Hotel, the Grand River Ballroom hosted the ceremony and the Golden Ballroom the reception with the same number of attendees as the ceremony. As such it was a mammoth effort to get both spaces set-up at the same time and especially given the ceremony started at 9.30am in the morning, hence we had to work through the night to ensure everything was set-up, ready and on schedule. Fortunately, the Pan Pacific Hotel and their staff and their in-house AV Company Encore were very accommodating and cooperative and overall it was very much a joint venture.

Arohi looked stunning and Arvin dashing as he rode into the Hotel with the Barat on our custom made a horse for him. The Pan Pacific being located in the CBD meant the Barat started out on the street on the Adelaide Terrace, you could hear the drumming echoing off of the buildings up and down the city terrace.

Arohi & Arvin’s Wedding Ceremony & Reception were both designed and styled by Glen at www.wedstyle.com.au who is exceptionally experienced with Indian Weddings.

About the Couple.

How did you first meet?

Arohi & Arvin first crossed paths at High School; they were re acquainted at University where their romance blossomed. Who knew that after 14 years they would be married!

The Proposal

Arvin proposed on a beautiful spring morning at Bradley’s Head in Sydney.

Arvin romantically set up a treasure hunt for Arohi which started as a trip down memory lane. Of course Arohi found the ring he had hidden!

Our Ceremony

Their Ceremony was everything they hoped it would be (and more). It was so special for them to have family and friends from far and wide for their Wedding. Wedstyle (theirr stylists) were able to totally transform their ideas for their Wedding into reality. Their Mandap where the ceremony took place was a standout for them and the perfect backdrop to begin their Happy Ever After.

Our Reception

The Wedding reception was the best way to end their week-long of Wedding festivities. Wedstyle again did a jaw dropping styling job in the Grand River Ballroom. For Arohi & Arvin, the most memorable part was sharing their first dance with their loved ones. They were especially lucky to have Arohi’ s sister and friend actually sing their first dance song live, which ended with a bang ( literally) with spectacular Indoor Fireworks!

Fun Facts

Arohi was insistent that Arvin arrive on a horse as is a traditional part of the Barat. Being limited by the confines of a CBD- based hotel proved to be difficult. With the help of the boys at Wedstyle they attached a horse’s head to a scooter and voila! It was such a fun entrance!
